Lost: A painting of my parents as a young couple in West End of Glasgow

Date posted: Thursday 17th July
Location: Stirling

My dad is dressed as a scholar with Glasgow Uni in the background, and surrounded by various figures from literature. My mum is dressed in her nurses uniform with the Western Infirmary behing her, surrounded by figures from medicine. It's a watercolour.

It was painted by their friend Joe Rafferty in the mid 60s, just after my parents had graduated, and it has strong sentimental value. It was lost after my dad's death during various house moves, and it may have ended up in a second hand shop.

It is pretty distinctive, so if it rings a bell I'd love to hear from you.

Thank you.
