Kawasaki Gpz900R (£1)
Here we have a great example of the classic GPZ900R. Or at least it was great until it was knocked over last weekend :(
I will start by mentioning the good parts about this bike. The bike is has just recently been MOT'd and flew through without any advisories at all, but rather a few remarks about how good the overall condition was for a bike of this age. The bike also has about another 5 months Road tax left.
The milage on this bike is 34448 and is genuine. I have about a dozen previous MOT certificates to prove this.
The engine is perfect, no faults at all.
Frame and forks are all in good condition.
There is still good tread on the tyres.
The brake lines both front and back have been braided.
All the electrics (Except left side.. will explain later) work fine.
The cooling system is all in perfect working condition and the fan kicks in as and when expected.
This truly is a fantastic bike for its time and will still do an easy 150mph +.
Now for the bad bits....
Last Sunday I parked up just to pop into a shop for five minutes and while I was inside the shop. Some idiot car driver reversed into it (right hand side) and knocked it over. The entire right hand side is unscathed, but the bike fell over onto its left hand side, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth and an anger that most bikers would appreciate. The car's registration by the way was Y314HSC....
Anyway, the damage to the left hand side is as follows...
Left mirror, badly scufffed as seen in pics.
Left front flasher... knackered... middle fairing will need replacing as there is now a hole where the flasher unit used to reside.
Rear left flasher... knackered.
Newly replaced front mudguard.... slight damage to back part, but not a big deal.
Newly replaced windscreen... smashed to smithereens and will require replacing.
The damage all in all is actually fairly superficial, and a few hundred pounds at the most should put everything back the way it should be. I however, am on a very low income and cannot afford to repair this myself and as I now have no transport, I need to sell the vehicle. The police have informed me that it may take many months (as many as 6!) before I would see any kind of compensation for this, hence I am listing this bike on ebay.
Other than the damage I have explained, she is a genuinely good bike and I have had no other trouble with it whatsoever.
I have receipts for any garage work which has been done in the past, including modifying the cam chain tensioner.
If you have any questions about the bike, feel free to email me and I will reply promptly.
Cash on collection and buyer must collect.
Make me an offer :)
