Permission request for Metal Detection on your land

Date posted: Wednesday 4th November
Location: Lothians

Hello, I've just started metal detecting and I'm looking for permission from land owners that would allow me to scan their land for anything that may be buried underground.

I'm happy to scan fields, woodlands and also small streams and rivers - Not ponds!

We can come to an arrangement where anything good that is found is cleaned up, recorded and either displayed or sold either via auction or similar and any profit split 50/50.

If you would prefer I would be willing to detect for an hourly fee or a set fee for a particular area of land to be detected and all items found with this arrangement would be yours to keep and I would not be entitled to any rewards/payments made to yourself if you chose to sell the items discovered.

I am currently using a Garrett metal detector from the USA and hope to purchase a newer model in around 6 months that is suitable for detecting gold!
My current model is suitable for detecting most metals.

Proof must be supplied that you do indeed own an area of land before I will scan it. I own a land management business and I have good knowledge of the Scottish Outdoor Access Codes.

Care will be taken when retrieving items from the ground.

I work on metal detecting Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays
.
I am able to detect in the Lothians and Borders areas of Scotland.

Any questions please contact me.
