Filmmaker requires actor for very small role Asap
Student documentary filmmaker requires a male with dark hair and preferably older than 30 years old to perform in a very brief role.
It is a brief reconstuction that charts a man's journey from his office back to his apartment and will involve a scene in an office setting, one at the bus-stop and on the bus, and some short scenes back at an apartment. These scenes are based on a newspaper article and will be accompanying the voice-over of a man who got himself out of a situation of homelessness. The film aims to break stereotypes associated with homeless people.
It is not so much about 'acting' a role but just your ability to appear natural in front of the camera and performing seemingly everyday actions and routines.
Ideally I would like to shoot the office scene this coming Friday and the rest of the short scenes on the Sunday. It should take less than an hour on the Friday and no more than two hours on the Sunday.
Its a film with good intentions namely raising awareness about those without accomodation. Making the film in conjunction with my course at Edinburgh Napier University but there may be scope to distribute the film further a field.
I realise this is short notice but if you are available for a short while on the Friday and Sunday and this is something you could gain from or are interested in please contact me. It goes without saying that your help would be fully appreciated and you would be welcome to attend the collective screening of student films. We would also gladly post you a copy of the final film.
Thanks a lot
Pete.
