My name is Rachel and I am currently a second year student at Edinburgh University studying Maths. I have played piano since I was 5 years old, and have achieved Grade 8 in my practical exams and Grade 5 in theory.

I am offering to teach piano to anyone who is just learning, or who wants to play for fun. Because I am not a qualified piano teacher I cannot put pupils through exams...BUT I can offer to teach piano at a very reasonable rate. I would be the ideal option to teach a beginner, as I can do just as good a job as a qualified teacher, at a much lower cost.

I would teach pupils in their own home, and can travel to anywhere that is accessible by public transport from Edinburgh City Centre. I would also be happy to teach more than one pupil at a time, this would be at a slightly higher charge, but would work out a lot cheaper for each pupil. My rates are as follows:

30 minute lesson (ideal for young children with short attention spans - £8
1 hour lesson - £12

Please note that you would also need to pay for materials such as books, I would expect that enough material to keep you going for a few months would cost around £20.

I am available every weekday from around 3.30pm, and most weekends. I can be flexible with when I come, it does not have to be the same day and time every week - I will come when it suits you. Please, do not hesitate to contact with any queries.
