I have return tickets for Edinburgh Waverly to London Kings X. The outward journey is on 14th October 10.30 am and the reurn journey is on 22nd October 10.30am. The tickets includes a seat reservation in coach G. The times and dates are fixed.

The tickets were bought for £23 but they were bought ages ago, tickets for the same journey are currently being sold for £42.
