Based in Edinburgh City Centre, our Client, a leading Financial Services Organisation is looking for a qualified accountant to join their team as a Business Analyst. The role will involve the following:


Reporting to the Group and Divisional Business Partner, with a dotted line through to the Head of Financial Reporting, you will be expected to build strong relationships with the respective business unit finance teams and build a good understanding of the drivers of performance.

Working with the reporting managers, providing a strong challenge to the monthly management information provided by the business units, ensuring the information provided to the Group and Insurance executive is accurate and adds value

Form good relationships with the Divisional Financial Planning & Strategy team to provide an understanding of performance against plans and to help that team understand the impact of current conditions on the results.

Work with the Group to structure the delivery of the Group external reporting, building project plans to respond to deliverable timetables and work with the business units to identify potential issues, blockers and challenges to the timetable.
Liaise with the business unit finance teams to ensure delivery of ad hoc projects for both Group and the Divisional Executive.


The successful candidate will be in possession of the following:

Qualified Accountant
Life Insurance and Pension Experience
Very strong analytical skills
SAP Experience advantageous
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Robust yet diplomatic in character
Ability to challenge information
Look at MI information quickly and report up the chain
