Part Time Permanent Accounts Assistant

We are a large independant retailer based in Edinburghs historic Old Town, looking for a part time accounts assistant to join our team on a permanent basis.

The Role
Working 2 days per week - to be arranged -
The duties will be wide ranging and will include data entry of purchase invoices, reconciliation of supplier accounts, recording and resolving supplier queries taking accounts to trial balance, bank reconciliations and many other duties.
The position also calls for a good deal of admin work including filing, record keeping,answering the telephone, opening incoming mail, photocopying, responding to and resolving queries, and assisting with ad hoc projects and duties as required.

The Candidate -
We need an individual who is positive, enthusiastic and self motivated.
- A good level of numeracy, accuracy and computer literacy is essential as the person will need to use Sage accounting package along with use of Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, must enjoy a challenging, fast paced environment
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise work.
- A good communicator with a flexible 'can-do' attitutde.

Hourly rate will be in the range of £6.50-8.00 and will be commensurate with experience
