Eden Scott's client is a leading blue chip organisation based in Fife with a requirement for a qualified Management Accountant

The role of the management accountant is to provide financial support and business acumen to the Business lead and finance analyst. You will assist in driving and optimising performance, delivering sound financial reporting, in compliance to UK and US GAAP and Company financial policies. Responsible for variance analysis, productivity analysis, month end, year end and budgeting.

Key responsibilities/ budget/people summary of main activities

 Support preparation & presentation of the monthly results, rolling forecasts and identification of risks & opportunities within the business area.
 Working in a cross functional team environment with various stakeholders to improve financial processes, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
 Work with non-financial colleagues across the business to interpret the financial performance and understand variances to plan.
 Ensure the business is run in accordance with UK and US GAAP and all company financial policies, within a Sox compliance environment.
 Work with the Costing/Manufacturing Analysts to understand the costs within the programs and the applicability of overhead recovery rates.
 Overview of the monthly billing process
 Month end journals and accruals and prepayments
 Identify and implement process improvements
 Communication link with all stakeholders
 Support implementation of new ERP System
