Hi there!

We are running a structured but informal support group for those family members or partners that are dealing with a drug addict.
We are family members ourselves who have gone through everything that you do with a person who is addicted to drugs.

Often there is too much emphasis put on healing the "addict" themselves and the family are left to cope with the crisis, chaos, heartbreak and pain that the addict can put family members through. Of course we all want our addicts to get better, but often many families are torn apart by their behaviours.

The aim of the group is:-

To help the family of people with a current or former drug problem by providing mutual support.
To to offer a forum where we can share experiences and anxieties
The group will be anonymous and confidential
The group will not be affiliated to any other organisation.
The group will be only families of drug users
The group will not make you any promises


If you a mother, sibling, partner or however you are connected and would be interested in coming along to a meet up. reply to this ad and i will get back to you.

It will be very informal and we all hope we can discuss, learn and heal some of the pain.

There will be no pressure from anyone to talk or share anything unless you want to. We have premises secured for use in central edinburgh, with a sympathetic organisation.

We will not be affiliating ourselves with any oher drug support organisation , but do believe in some of their methods but not all. We are not a cult or a religious organisation, just family members who realised after many years of anguish that there should be support for us as family members as well.

If you feel that you or someone you know could benefit from some support from other people who are in a similar position, or just want some more info.
