Hello,
I am a 25year old German girl, who works here in Edinburgh as a Foreign Language Assistant at two schools. As I have to work in the schools only 12 hours per week, I'd love to do something else in the afternoons, and to earn some extra money, especially since I decided to get my own flat, which turns out to be rather expensive :)
I love children and like being around them, playing with them and talking to them. That is the reason why I chose to become a primary school teacher. I've already finished my studies back in Germany and will start my last internship (Referendariat) when I go back there in June 2010.
I used to babysit a lot in Berlin, my home city. The children I looked after were between 6 months and 13years old. I can't remember with how many families I worked, but I do remember that I often had to look after 3 or 4 children at the same time, so that would be no problem. I even could obtain references from the families, but I'm afraid these would be in German :)
I also have plenty of experience in teaching, as I did a lot of teaching in Berlin, and worked in projects where I helped children from socially deprived areas to gradiate from school. I am member of a church back in Berlin, and I used to work with and look after groups of children there, too; without getting money for it, of course :)
So, I really would love to look after your children, no matter how many you have or how old they are. I even could teach them some German! :) And I could learn even more about Scottish culture and familiy life, which I would really appreciate.
I also worked as a private tutor for English, French and German in Germany, and would of course be able to help your children with their homework.
Additionally, I would be happy to help with some household works if desired; I could clean the dishes, or clean some rooms, doing laundry or whatever it is.
I am at school as listed below, and would be able to be at your home approximately half an hour/hour after school is over (depends on where you live):

Mondays: free
Tuesdays: school until 14:50
Wednesdays: school until 14:40
Thursdays: school until 15:45
Fridays: school until 12:00, and then I teach in another family some German, until 15:00

Note that I am on tuesdays and thursdays at Queensferry High, so it would take me slightly longer to come back into town.

Okay, I hope I mentioned all the relevant facts. Oh, I live in Polwarth, so every job in Polworth, Marchmont, Morningside, Bruntsfield, Haymarket, Slateford, Tollcross, Fountainbridge, Dalry would be perfect, but I also would come somewhere else, especially since I am the proud owner of a bike!
