Financial Reporting Manager
Based in Edinburgh, Our Client, a leading Financial Services Organisation are looking to recruit a qualified accountant to join their team as a Financial Reporting Manager. The role would suit a newly qualified accountant leaving practice. The role will involve the following:
- The provision of timely and accurate monthly reporting (against budget / forecast) to Division, with variances understood and explained.
- The provision of timely and accurate forecasts to Division, with variances understood and explained.
- Maintenance / development of a robust financial control environment ensuring integrity of the Financial Planning balance sheet and reported results.
- Delivery of half year and full year reporting to: shareholders, and supporting the attainment of clean audit management reports.
- Relationships with outsourced providers to be developed in line with the above.
- Manage emerging projects for Finance through to closure. Chair forums where appropriate.
- Ensure all material control matters are escalated appropriately.
- Regular and ad-hoc reporting to Financial Control Committee and other supporting committees with regard to status conditions.
- Annual group reporting on risks and intra-group limits.
Excellent Financial Services Benefits Package
The successful candidate will be in possession of the following:
- Track record of successfully delivering financial reporting, financial planning, and year-end projects.
- Experience of directly supporting the decisions of senior management and in taking decisions at appropriate levels.
- Due to the Financial Services aspects of the role, relevant experience gained within a UK Financial Services reporting environment.
- Experience of reporting within audit environment would be beneficial.
- Experience of outsourcing / relationship management would be beneficial.
- Qualified Accountant with reporting experience
- Expert in standard Microsoft packages eg Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of regulatory returns.
- Knowledge of COGNOS reporting systems would be beneficial.
