Project Manager
Based in Edinburgh, our Client, a leading Financial Services organisation are looking for an experienced finance professional to join their team as a Project Manager. The role will involve the following:
This is an opportunity to shape the delivery within a high profile and complex programme delivering a critical solution into many sectors within the business.
With extensive Stakeholder Management involved, the applicant will be responsible for coordination of the Group & Divisional Ledgers project planning and delivery; ensuring that the programme is delivered efficiently with minimal disruption to BAU activities.
Key Deliverables ·
- Accountable to key stakeholders for delivery of milestones to an agreed quality, time and cost
- Use of a project management methodology to ensure that the ongoing progress of projects is formally tracked and that a clear audit trail exists in line with agreed Programme governance
- Deputise for the Change Manager
- Identify, evaluate and track progress of project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating them appropriately with suggested mitigating actions and implementing as directed
- Maintain and develop knowledge of project methodologies and a professional network of contacts, sharing knowledge and best practice where appropriate to support continuous improvement
- Collaboration with others on Programme team, identifying internal / external resources required to deliver the project
- Where role includes management of project resources this will require coaching and training & development whilst on the project
Excellent Financial Services Package
The individual will have experience of the following:
- Change Management or related Project Management experience
- Detailed knowledge and experience of project life cycle
- Experience of a range or project types and business areas is desirable
- A range of experience of analysis, analytical tools and problem resolution
- Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workloads and work on own initiative
- Experience in stakeholder management and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service is essential.
- The role requires someone that is flexible, innovative, excellent problem solving skills and committed to delivering to a high standard.
- Experience in Finance/Accounting operational processes would be beneficial
