This is a brand new spacious 200-bed hostel that’s opening December 1st in Central Edinburgh. Located in the Grassmarket you will be amongst the action at night and you will be within walking distance to some of the best bars and clubs Edinburgh has to offer. The historic Royal Mile is just around the corner and some of our guests will have amazing views of the Castle from their bedroom window.

When our guests arrive at this new and vibrant Hostel they can relax and have a beer in our social chill out area, which will have flat screen TV’s and will be showing the latest movies every night and the latest big sporting event. You can have a game of pool or challenge your mate to a foosball game. Whatever you are looking for you will find it at this new and exciting hostel.

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join the team and work closely with the General Manager to make sure the opening goes as smoothly as possible.

Your duties will include:

* Staff training
* Rotoring
* Promoting and marketing business
* Overseeing service standards
* You must have a good understanding of stock control and implementing procedures with staff.
* An understanding of monthly P&L's and experience with this is very favourable.
* Addressing problems and troubleshooting
* Reservation management

You must have a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task and maintain control of a busy working environment. We are looking for a mature mind and the ability to run the business autonomously.

Please remember that this is a new hostel opening, so if you have experience opening properties up this will be advantageous. We will consider CV's from Hotel based candidates but Hostel experienced is preferred.
