Goose Green HomeCare Ltd has been providing high quality care to elderly and disabled residents in the East & Midlothian areas since 2001 and in the last year, our dedicated team helped care for over 200 clients.

Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting Care Workers to work in the North Berwick/Gullane area.

Working as a Care Worker with us will provide you with the opportunity to work directly with our clients and the high quality care you provide (ie social, domestic, personal care & support) will enable them to live independently at home. The role is very varied and, at the same time, very rewarding.

This post involves the following rota pattern:

Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday Friday (2 Split shifts per day - to be worked between 7.00am-10.00pm)
Week 2 - Monday , Tuesday , Saturday & Sunday ( 2 split shifts per day - to be worked between 7.00am -10.00pm)

Experience isn’t essential - what counts is that you can show initiative, have good communication and observational skills, a caring responsible attitude and empathy with our clients. You must, however, possess a current driving license and have access to a car. A satisfactory Enhance Disclosure Scotland check is also essential.

We offer excellent working conditions including full induction training & ongoing training and support. The rate of pay of £7.00 per hour Mon-Friday, and time + ½ is payable at weekends. An increased rate is applicable if you hold SVQ2 in Social Care. A mileage allowance is also payable for travelling between clients and we will also help you progress towards your SVQ2 Social Care.
