Our client, within the healthcare/ specialist care sector is currently seeking a new House Manager to join their committed and dedicated team.

Working specifically within the field of learning difficulties and mental health issues, you will actively promote and nurture a person centred approach to care, in line with the principles of Rudolf Steiner.

This is a varied and rewarding job role, in which you will be directly accountable and responsible to The Senior Manager and council. You will also be expected to deputise in their absence.

Duties
• To assist the Senior Manager in the day to day operational activity of the home
• Contribute to Aims and objective formulation, implementation and structure creation
• Oversee care management for all 12 residents and ensure staff are adhering to and surpassing National Minimal Standards
• Ensure all records/ related paperwork is completed and in line with regulating bodies
• Responsible for all HR related procedures including training, rotas, absence, disciplinarians, recruitment, staff development and general support to staff
• Promoting staff development and identifying social therapy workshop opportunities
• Assisting in budgeting and financial administration to ensure efficiency
• Attending and chair meetings within and out with the organisation, representing the company accordingly
• Participate in necessary training in adherence to the post requirements and to registration with The Scottish Social Services Council
• Ensuring confidentiality for staff, residents and stakeholders

Requirements
• SVQ4 in Social care or Equivalent
• Registered managers award, or other Management Qualification
• Experience working in this field of care
• Previous experience in managing staff within a care environment
• Experience / knowledge of HR issues
• Proficient in IT skills and data management
• Knowledge/ experience of social therapy/ workshop
• Knowledge of Legislation and national standards
• Ability to successfully time manage, communicate and accept responsibility for decision making
