Edinburgh lost & found stuff

Blue poncho, near Grassmarket, Saturday the 24th

Date posted: Sunday 25th October
Location: Marchmont

I drive a rickshaw (or pedicab) in Edinburgh and when it is cold or raining or really blowing (or all three, as it was last night the 24th October) I lend my blue poncho to my passengers to keep them warm. Especially the ladies who brave the cold in really short skirts and high heels.

The poncho disappeared sometime around midnight last night.

The poncho is light blue, wool, large, with a red, black, gold pattern on the sides. It is very beautiful and very special as it is the only memory I have of Colombia where I lived for a short time. It is also my only winter jacket.

Last night sometime around midnight and somewhere near Grassmarket-CowGate it was either lost or stolen from my bike, along with a small blanket the passengers sit on. The wind was fierce but I doubt it could have blown away - still it is possible. I would like to believe so. Many of my passengers are extremely drunk and unruly and they may have let it fall off the side. That too is possible.

If anyone found the poncho I would be really grateful for its return. I have contacted the police. If you stole it, what kind of kicks do you get harming someone that way? In any case, I will give a reward, no questions asked. I can be reached through my email or 07551 433 379.
