Note: If your console is less than 3 years old and your warranty seal is still intact, then Microsoft will repair your console for free, if it has 3 red lights or 1 red light and E74 error.

These errors mostly always occur as a result of the motherboard of your console bending due to excessive temperatures over time. The constant heating and cooling eventually causes a solder joint to fracture and as a result, one of these error conditions appear. The only way to properly fix this long term is to reflow the solder around the area of the fault, and then fix the motherboard back firmly so it is held flat and rigid such that it CANNOT flex. To achieve this repair, the following will be performed:

1) Console opened and components carefully and thoroughly cleaned
2) CPU and GPU heatsinks removed and old thermal paste removed
3) If required, targeted reflow process to repair broken solder joints
4) Chassis case leveled to allow for perfectly flat replacement of motherboard
5) High performance AS5 thermal paste applied to CPU and GPU as well as spacers
6) Motherboard and heatsinks fixed firmly back into the chassis using the correct screws
7) Thermal stress tests performed to ensure the quality
