The reason I say long hair and female is my son may be allergic to cats. We had a cat a few years back and it was a short haired male. My son was sneezing all the time and scratching, we had to take the cat to the cat protection league. Then we got a small cat which was a female long hair as I heard that these cats tend not to cause an allergic reaction. We had her for a few years before she was run over. So please if anyone knows of anyone with a long hair female cat or kitten needing a home please let me know on sara515@btinternet.com. Thanks
