My name is Rachel and I am currently a second year student at Edinburgh University studying Maths. I also studied Maths at school in Northern Ireland and was awarded an A* grade at GCSE level, and an A grade at A-Level.

I am offering my services as a Maths Tutor to anyone up to Scottish Highers level. This would be ideal for a school pupil with exams coming up, or who is struggling with a certain aspect of their studies. Because I am not a qualified teacher, I can offer this service at a very reasonable hourly rate. I also believe that because of my age, I would be the ideal tutor to school and college pupils.

I would tutor in the pupils own home, and would either work through their curriculum or just concentrate on the aspects which they are unhappy with. I would also be happy to tutor more than one pupil at a time, at a slightly higher rate which is available on request (ideal if two class mates are both in need of some help - and works out cheaper). I can travel anywhere that is accessible by public transport from Edinburgh City Centre; or alternatively I can meet the pupil in a quite room of a public library. My rates are as follows:

1 hour session - £12
2 hour session (5 minute break in middle) - £20

I am available every weekday from around 3.30pm, and most weekends. I can be flexible with when I come, it does not have to be the same day and time every week - I will come when it suits you. Please, do not hesitate to contact with any queries.
