We are in our third term at Abbeyhill Corstorphine and Dalmeny Ps as an after school club and are now holding Summer Holiday clubs in Corstorphine Youth Club and Dalmeny Ps and also in Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre. Each club will have around 20 children and you have the choice of letting them attend all day or Am or Pm. They will get introductory lessons on various instruments and encouraged to work together to form a band. We will try and include all the favourite songs and teach them how to perform them. There will be lots of games all of which are designed not only to allow them to have fun but also teach them the basics of music. By the end of their week they will know some chord structures how to read the notes on the stave and rythmic values. The best thing is they wont have even realised the were learning.
