Eden Scott's client, a market leader in their field, has a key requirement for a SQL Database Developer to join them on an initial 3 month contract basis develop new functionality and fix functionality on their existing site.

This project which will kick off mid November will involve coding database solutions for key projects and all code you write must be highly optimised. You will be an experienced and accomplished developer in the following technologies:

* Transact SQL (SQL Server 2005) - demonstrable experience of writing fast, scalable stored procedure code for a large volume site
* Deep knowledge of SQL Server architecture including indexes and their structure, pages, locking and the hardware layer at which SQL Server operates
* Extensive knowledge and experience using SQL Profiler, SQL Traces, analysing and interpreting execution plans and optionally using Quest Performance Analysis
* Excellent analytical and system design skills
* Experience of working with VLDBs
* Knowledge and understanding of SQL Agent, SQL Jobs
