My client, a public sector organisation, are looking for an environmental scientist specialising in waste to joint their team.  The purpose of this role is to carry out the collection, verification, analysis and reporting of non municipal waste data.

 

Within this post, your main areas of responsibility would be to produce data on construction and demolition waste and commercial industrial waste, including 2008 business waste data.  This role will also involve communication with both internal and external customers, in particular answering relevant data enquiries and providing data reports relating to non municipal waste management.

 

It is essential that the successful candidate has experience in using excel and databases including access and oracle, and has knowledge of waste management and relevant legislation.  Demonstrable experience within data analysis and report writing is also an essential requirement.  It is desirable that you will hold a degree in a Waste Management or a relevant discipline.

 

This is a temporary position running for approximately 3 months.  A basic level Disclosure Scotland certificate is essential for this post.  Candidates successful for interview will need to obtain this certificate prior to attending an interview.
