The Edinburgh Dungeon is now actively recruiting for a Temporary Ride Engineer/Maintenance Technician to cover an unplanned staff absence. This will be a temporary full time position which may lead to more permanent work in the future.

The Edinburgh Dungeon is a truly unique and challenging working environment and this is the ideal position for a multi skilled technician who is able to turn their hand to almost anything.

The successful applicant will ideally have electrical and mechanical engineering experience and also have experience fabricating, with mechanical fitting work and general building maintenance as this is a key position in keeping a muti-faceted visitor attraction operating consistently and smoothly. The ideal candidate will also have experience in pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems and fault finding.

Reporting to the Technical Manager this position will predominently cover day shifts but there will also be evening and weekend work at times. This will initally be an hourly paid position with a starting salary of £6.85 per hour.

The Edinburgh Dungeon is part of the Merlin Entertainments Group and is proud of our reputation as Edinburgh's scariest visitor Attraction. We also recently added a new ride in Easter 2009.
