Our Client is one of the largest consultancies in the UK and has offices world-wide offering an excellent opportunity and career progression. They are currently seeking a Senior power systems design and analysis engineer to work on their wind farm projects who must be able to work on their own initiative and lead a team. The role offered is a permanent position and is based in their office in the centre of Glasgow. The role will include;



-  Overseeing a team of Power system Design engineers and helping them Develop and provide advice on power system and renewable generation network design

- Determination and evaluation of proposals for generation network connections at voltage levels from llkV to 400kV 

-  Design, assessment/evaluation and optimisation of renewable generation electrical infrastructure.

- Assessment/evaluation and optimisation of renewable generation electrical system characteristics and performance. 

-  Protection grading studies for renewable generation systems



Candidate Specifications: 

-  An electrical background is essential.

- Have previous experience managing a team of Power system design and analysis engineers

- You will have suitable experience of power system design issues and policy, including grid code, security & quality of supply standards. 

-  Experience in design packages such as PSSE, CDEGS and ERACS is essential.

- Previous experience designing for renewable energy projects will be advantageous.

- Suitable knowledge of protection relay systems and grid connections.

- Candidates should possess a relevant qualification, preferably a university degree and/or qualification leading to chartered engineer status and membership of the IET.



Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
