Our client currently has a requirement for an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to work in their busy office in Edinburgh. As a major organisation within the scientific and environmental health sector, our client are enlisted by many organisations to survey, record, analyse and resolve issues surrounding asbestos which has been used in the original construction of buildings and estates.

 

As an Asbestos Surveyor you will be required to act as a consultants to this organisation's clients and provide clients with viable solutions to asbestos related queries. Duties within this role will include, but may not be limited to:



- Sampling and surveys of Type 1, 2 and 3 asbestos is buildings.

- Asbestos air measurement and fibre counting.

- Supervision of large asbestos works.

- Assisting with provision and implementation of asbestos training for working safely with asbestos.

- Ensuring that accurate, up to date records are maintained.

- Liaising with clients and contractors.  

You will have demonstrable experience working with asbestos in a similar consultancy style role. It is essential that the candidate has experience with P402, P403 and P404 BOHS modules due to the variety of work and projects that this role will involve.

 

In addition to the afore mentioned technical aspects of the role, this position will involve an element of travelling and may require the post holder to work unsociable hours occasionally. Due to the potential for travel, a full UK drivers licence is essential.
