Hays Energy are currently working on behalf of a worldwide leading energy company who are opening up a new department in Scotland. They are currently seeking an experienced Overhead lines design engineer to manage major projects across the central belt. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking a role that offers excellent career progression and the chance to work for a company who will be making their mark on the UK engineering industry. The salary offered is dependant on experience but is expected to be up to £55K.

You will be managing the Overhead lines skilled projects team and will be expected to successfully deliver the transmission projects to cost, exacting standards and to project timescales during the design and construction phases. You will be involved and overseeing the detailed design of Overhead lines up to 400KV and will also liaise with statutory and key consultees on design and construction aspects of these projects.

The successful candidate will have:
-  Transmission overhead lines or cables design experience and have the ability to help deliver multiple projects on time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Electrical design skills and construction experience associated with complex transmission overhead lines.
- A robust understanding of health and safety requirements including a working knowledge of CDM regulations.
- Good computer skills.
- Previous experience of managing a detailed design team who have worked on transmission projects up to 400KV.
