Eden Scott's client, a leading manufacture of IP, Video solutions for the security market, has a requirement for a Hardware Design Engineer to join their current team to work on all aspects of new product development, existing product improvements and key-account customer technical issues.

This role will involve the following elements:

* Electronic hardware design from concept to production of IP video/camera products
* Schematic design entry
* Multilayer PCB design
* Product qualification for EMC and Thermal
* Liaison with the software team
* Meeting targets for delivery and quality of hardware
* Post production support (customer and manufacturing)

The ideal candidate, who will have commercial experience of the following:

* Experienced in schematic entry, preferably using Orcad Capture
* Understanding of multilayer high speed PCB design, preferably using Cadence Allegro
* Strong background in processor based design, preferably in camera/video systems
* Some analogue design skills preferred (SMPS, video, audio)
* Design for EMC compliance
* Thermal management
* Sub contract manufacturer and supplier interfacing
* Practical, hands-on PCB laboratory work and trouble shooting skills
* Knowledge of IP networks and CCTV camera technology are desirable
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
