We are looking for a Legionella Officer to start work in the Edinburgh Area ASAP

Working for a local authority candidates duties will be to Manage and maintain Legionella data base for all Council properties. Review reports provided by Contractors. Advise on all matters relating to Legoinell and water systems within commercial/public buildings. Manage and monitor contractor performance for inspections. Issue orders to contractors to carry out inspection programme. Manage monitoring programme with Council Analyst and liase regarding inspection times etc.

Candidates must have Competent understanding of water system within buildings and an approved City & Guilds qualification in Legionella management. Full competent and advanced understanding of ACOP L8. Advanced understanding of Legionella bacteria. Level of ability to carry out managerial responsibility of the control of Legionella bacteria within water systems and building services systems.
