Young female professional looking for a double room in Central Edinburgh from January 2010
Hey, I am a 22 year old Irish girl looking to move to Edinburgh to work. I recently graduated as a Social Worker and have been offered a 9-5 job in a Children and Families team in the South of the city.
I am looking to move into a flat with a couple of other people in their 20s who are up for going out at weekends, going to gigs etc as I don't have too many contacts in Scotland yet! I don't mind whether you are male, female or a mixture of both, but don't think I could cope with watching a lot of football or action movies. However, QI and Never Mind The Buzzcocks are always winners...
I would like a double room, (en-suite would be a bonus but isn't necessary) with parking, as I need a car for work, and broadband. Would love to move into a flat that has character. Also, I like to live in a warm house and quite like to have the heat on for a couple of hours in the winter. Not that I walk around in shorts and a t-shirt or anything but wearing my hat and scarf indoors isn't my idea of fun!
Hope to move in with people who don't object to be having friends over from Ireland from time to time (not gonna take the piss by having people who outstay their welcome though).
I would say that I am an easy-going person who is looking for housemates who are up for a laugh. I plan to join a gym and a couple of exercise classes and have made it a mission to learn to cook when I move away. I must admit I make a mean carrot cake and a banoffee and am more than willing to share my cullinary delights with my housemates. :-)
I love going to concerts, open mic singer/songwriter nights and comedy gigs, as well as staying in washing trashy tv and drinking tea! Favourites include Fr. Ted, The Inbetweeners, Alan Partridge, Extras and The Office. Oh, and The Hills and X Factor...
Also love to read and am quite into keeping up with what is going on in the world, love a good debate (that makes me sound really sad doesn't it?! I'm not, I promise...)
As my job is pretty intense I would prefer to move into a chilled household, no drama! Please get in touch if you have a place that you think fits the bill. Thanking you :-)
